On World Breast Cancer Day, Be Human held an awareness workshop for the women of Gaza who are facing the disease amid displacement and weakened health services. Participants learnt about the early warning signs, how to carry out a monthly self-examination, and why it matters to see a doctor as soon as they notice any change. There was room for psychological support, too.
The workshop carried a message to every woman: you are not alone. Awareness is the first step towards protection, and health is a right that war cannot take away.
