Fun and Recreational Day for Children in a Field School in Khan Younis Camp

This project aims to organize a fun and recreational day for children in a field school located in a displacement camp in Khan Younis, Gaza Strip. The activity seeks to provide psychosocial relief to 400 children who have endured trauma and displacement due to the ongoing conflict. Through music, interactive performances, drawing, and sweets distribution, the event will offer these children a joyful and healing experience that promotes emotional well-being and social connection.

Background and Justification

The ongoing conflict and displacement crisis in Gaza have deeply affected children’s mental and emotional health. Thousands of children live in temporary shelters or overcrowded schools with minimal opportunities for recreation. This project represents a humanitarian and psychosocial intervention designed to bring happiness, relief, and a sense of normalcy to 400 displaced children — even if just for a single day. By offering structured recreational activities, music, art, and treats, we aim to reduce stress, restore hope, and strengthen community resilience.
